Being a child in the 1990's, I don't believe that the 90's died after Dec, 31st 1999 at twelve a.m. but more like sometime between 2006 - 2008 maybe. Before you say it, I'm talking about more like pop culture and not the 90's decade it'self.
Just like the how the 80's officially died sometime in 1994 and actually begun maybe in 1978 or 79 if you think about how disco didn't really die, but became reinvented into new wave or pop music. Rock sort of died sometime in the late 80's after being reincarnated into Seattle grunge and alternative rock.
Believe it or not, Nirvana, Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails, and Alice in chains all started in the late 80's but I guess a lot of people don't realize this because their used to the music they've done after they became really famous.
Also the original Nintendo Entertainment System was still popular after the Super Nintendo came out.
I'm a Nintendo 8-bit child and I hold the gaming systems in a special place in my heart because of the memories they bring once upon a happier time in my life. Being nostalgic is a part of my depression .. .. ..
It's actually kind of funny how you'll still find un-refurbished 8-bit Nintendo systems working till this day :/ Yet the X-box 360 is notorious for it's cooler fan failure, which results in a ring red of death
I'm a 90's child by heart who realized that I'm actually a 90's cultural child and if you think about it, I'm also a hybrid late 80's child as well lol
So if you grew up anywhere between 1994 - 2006 or 08, then you're a 90's culture child as well
After either 06 or 08, the new century, 2000's had officially started lol
